On January 10, 2001 the Registrar of Societies, Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur registred Pertubuhan Wanita dan Kesihatan, Kuala Lumpur (WAKE).
The impact of AIDS on children and adults are both complex and multifaceted. Many suffer intense psychosocial and economic distress. If the children have lost their parents to AIDS, most must live with the stigma and discrimination attached to the desease. WAKE uses a holistic approach to the management of the children’s health and for the residents of the Homes.
